Ever wondered what happens during car shipping? Well, the process of auto transport is divided into three major periods: pick up, transport and delivery. Let’s briefly discuss them one by one.
First, the car is picked up either near your residence (door-to-door transport) or at the terminal (terminal transport). The whole pick up period would take about 2 to 10 days, depending on the type of delivery you chose.
Second, the car goes through the transport proper. The car is loaded on the transport truck along with the other vehicles. A typical car shipping would take 8 to 10 days of transit time. Again, the length of transport depends on the delivery type. For instance, a Guaranteed Date Delivery would mean a faster transport service, whereas a Flexible Date Delivery would most likely be slower, but cheaper in terms of price.
Third, the car is delivered to its destination. You can pick it up either at your determined place or at the terminal.
